Does Your Furnace Need Repair?
Watch For These Three Signs

Most home appliances will tell you when they need help, and your home furnace is no different. Watch for these four indications that it’s time for a furnace repair.

Loud Sounds From Your Furnace

The sound of your furnace usually rests in the background of your mind. If you notice a change to that sound, there’s likely a reason. Sometimes it’s easy to spot, like a squealing blower motor. But other times, it can come and go in an instant, like an increase in the ‘whump’ sound when your furnace ignites. A stronger ‘whump’ means that your furnace is igniting too slowly and needs immediate service.

Changes In The Running Pattern Of Your Furnace

If it seems like your furnace is always on, you might not be wrong. One of the more dangerous situations for a furnace is what we call ‘short cycling.’ That’s when your furnace only runs briefly, then starts back up a few minutes later.

This often indicates a potentially deadly failure of your heat exchanger. If your furnace is short-cycling, it needs immediate attention.

Clicking Sounds From Your Furnace

Many modern gas furnaces use a spark igniter. That’s the clicking sound you hear before the whump of ignition. But if that sound goes on for longer than normal or repeats over and over, you have an ignition problem.

Absolute Comfort = Total Trust

Ogden’s heating and cooling industry has earned itself a pretty bad reputation. Pricing games, bait-and-switch tactics, and sloppy work are some of the complaints we hear about and, frankly, have seen many times.

A big reason that we started Absolute Comfort was to put an end to such practices. We prefer to be known for the good policies we hold to, such as the following:

  • Transparent Pricing – Clear, detailed pricing on every repair.
  • Credit For Repairs – If you need a new system, we’ll credit the cost of your last repair toward the cost.
  • Guaranteed Satisfaction – If you’re dissatisfied with our work and we can’t make it right, we’ll refund every penny you spent.
  • Lifetime Warranties – The average furnace warranty is ten years or less. Our Amana units are guaranteed to last you the rest of your life.

The bottom line is that your comfort and satisfaction matter more than our, well, bottom line. So we’ve created customer-focused policies to ensure you’ll always be happy with our service – and, just maybe, repair the reputation of the HVAC industry for good.

If I ever have another related issue, they’d be the first I’d call
Kristopher and Tony went above and beyond getting our furnace up and running. They diagnosed, repaired, and also cleaned our system. They found the root cause to be a wiring issue and, if plugged in, would burn out the circuit board again, and so we expected to have an electrician come in to repair the problem before they completed the job, but instead, they found a spare part in their truck and fixed it themselves! I am so excited to have heat in our home again :D. These two were great, and if I ever have another related issue, they’d be the first I’d call.

These guys are by far the most honest
The most important thing with an HVAC company is someone that will be honest with you and not just trying to sell you something. I have used many companies, but these guys are by far the most honest I have dealt with and have saved us thousands from what other companies said we needed. I have now used them on 4 different buildings and would recommend that you please try them; you will not be disappointed.

Bryce and his assistant were great
Bryce and his assistant were great. They were here about 15 minutes after I called. (I really thought it would take days.) They went right to work and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Absolute Comfort for heating and air-conditioning needs. I rarely write reviews, but they are so worth taking the time to do that. Thanks so much.

Furnace Repair FAQs

Do you guarantee your repairs?

Yes, we do. Our repairs are guaranteed for a full year. Plus, if you need a new furnace, the cost of the previous repair will go toward the installation.

How quickly can you get here?

Our standard response time is the same day you call. If we’re super busy, you may have to wait until the next day. But once we arrive, most repairs are finished on the same trip.

What can I check before I call you for service?

Sometimes, you can solve your furnace problems without our help. If your system isn’t working right, check the following:

  • Furnace Switch – Check to ensure your furnace switch didn’t get bumped off.
  • Thermostat – Ensure your thermostat batteries are still holding a charge.
  • Air Filters – Furnace systems will not run if the filter is too clogged.

Few things are as important to your family as a safe, reliable heating system. Get your furnace system tuned-up today so it’ll be there when you need it. And if you’re having trouble now, contact Absolute Comfort for a lightning-fast response.
